Home of Skin Contact. The room's Klipsch Cornwalls were doing work they were never built for: a single 15 inch woofer per side carrying midbass, sub-bass, and midrange horn support while filling a 2,500 square foot room. Coverage fell off past the booth and went dead at the bar, and DJs had no foldback of their own, reading the room off the same throw aimed at the dancefloor.

The fix pairs the Cornwalls with a purpose-built low end again, the way Klipsch Heritage speakers were designed to run. Two custom subwoofer plinths, tuned to 33 Hz, sit under the Cornwalls so each side reads as one tower. Vintage Heresy fills carry the room to the bar, delayed and level-matched so it reads as one continuous space instead of three speakers fighting each other. A suspended DJ booth disconnects the turntables from a springy wood floor that used to make them skip.

The room runs on a small Linux DSP appliance and a control app built from scratch, so venue staff manage the whole system, zone levels, source switching, saved setups, from their phones. No mixing board knowledge required, and no late-night phone call when something needs adjusting.
